Redlef Software Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Redlef LLC, doing business as Redlef Software ("Redlef," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information through public Redlef-powered websites, QR-code signup pages, subscriber forms, offer and redemption pages, consent and suppression records, and related messaging features.
A business identified on a Redlef-powered page or message is referred to as a "Participating Business." The person who visits a page, joins a communications program, receives a message, claims an offer, or makes a privacy request is referred to as "you."
1. SCOPE AND THE PARTIES' ROLES
This Policy applies to public Redlef-powered pages and subscriber-facing features that link to it. It does not replace the privacy notice of a Participating Business or govern that business's separate website, point-of-sale system, ordering platform, social media account, or another service that provides its own privacy notice.
The Participating Business named on a signup page or message decides why it wants to communicate with subscribers, what communications it sends, and what products, services, schedules, or offers it provides. Redlef supplies technology used to collect separate channel choices, preserve consent evidence, deliver or help deliver communications, process opt-outs and suppressions, provide offer and redemption features, and report program performance.
For subscriber information Redlef handles on a Participating Business's instructions, Redlef generally acts as that business's service provider or processor. The Participating Business generally controls the subscriber relationship. Redlef does not become the seller of the Participating Business's products or services merely by providing these tools.
A Participating Business should provide its own business-specific privacy notice when required. If a business-specific notice provides additional information about that business's practices, both that notice and this Policy may apply.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information collected depends on how you use the service and which channels or features you choose.
A. Information you provide
We may collect:
- Contact information, such as your first name, mobile number, and email address.
- Separate SMS and email choices, including whether each channel was selected, the Participating Business and program involved, the signup source, and the date and time of submission.
- Information submitted when you claim or redeem an offer, including a mobile number used to identify an existing subscriber, a claim or redemption code, and any information the offer page clearly requests.
- Information included in a help, privacy, security, or abuse-related request.
- Communications you send through supported messaging features, including replies such as STOP, HELP, or START and other clear requests concerning your subscription.
Entering a mobile number to identify an existing subscriber or unlock an offer does not, by itself, create SMS marketing consent. SMS enrollment occurs only when you make the separate affirmative SMS choice described at collection.
B. Consent and preference records
We may preserve evidence associated with a communication choice, including:
- The disclosure, form, and policy versions shown when you made the choice.
- The Participating Business and program identified at signup.
- The selected channel or channels.
- The submission date and time, signup page, QR code or campaign source, and related request information.
- Later opt-out, unsubscribe, suppression, complaint, or renewed-consent events.
C. Communications and delivery information
When the Participating Business configures communications through Redlef, program records may include:
- Messages sent and received through the program.
- Delivery, failure, bounce, complaint, and suppression status.
- Unsubscribe and opt-out activity.
- Message timestamps and provider identifiers.
- Link clicks, offer-page visits, claims, redemptions, and related campaign events.
- Email open events when the recipient's mailbox and settings permit them to be measured.
Delivery and engagement events are not always accurate or complete. For example, privacy protections, image blocking, forwarding, automated link scanning, or mailbox provider behavior can affect whether an email appears to have been opened or a link appears to have been clicked.
D. Device, network, and activity information
We may collect browser type, device type, operating system, user agent, referring page, QR or campaign source, request timing, IP address or a protected derivative of it, approximate location inferred from network information, cookie or session identifiers, and security or diagnostic events.
We do not collect precise device location unless a feature clearly requests it and you choose to provide permission.
E. Offer and redemption information
If a Participating Business uses Redlef offer features, we may collect or generate:
- The offer viewed, claimed, or redeemed.
- A public, campaign-specific, or recipient-specific link token.
- Claim and expiration timestamps.
- Redemption status, time, location, or authorized device.
- A sale amount, order reference, or estimated transaction value when the business configures that information to be recorded.
A page view, click, or claim does not necessarily prove a purchase. Redlef distinguishes those events from a business-confirmed redemption where the feature supports it.
3. WHERE INFORMATION COMES FROM
We receive information:
- Directly from you when you submit a form, select a channel, reply to a message, claim an offer, or make a request.
- Automatically from your browser or device when you use a Redlef-powered page.
- From the Participating Business connected with your signup or redemption.
- From communications, hosting, security, fraud-prevention, and email-delivery providers when the Participating Business configures those services.
4. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Redlef and the Participating Business may use information to:
- Record and apply the SMS and email choices you submit.
- Connect your choices with the correct Participating Business and program.
- Deliver or support delivery of the communications you selected.
- Send a single enrollment confirmation and operational responses such as STOP, HELP, or START confirmations when applicable.
- Process unsubscribe, opt-out, suppression, bounce, complaint, and re-enrollment events.
- Provide signup, short-link, offer, claim, redemption, and reporting features.
- Measure delivery, engagement, claims, and redemptions and help the Participating Business evaluate program performance.
- Identify inactive, invalid, deactivated, or potentially reassigned destinations where supported and appropriate.
- Prevent fraudulent signups, automated abuse, link enumeration, account compromise, and threats to recipients or networks.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, test, and improve the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, security, and abuse requests.
- Comply with law, lawful process, provider requirements, and enforceable policies.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Redlef may use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you to measure service performance, improve reliability, and understand general usage patterns.
5. MOBILE AND EMAIL PRIVACY
Mobile numbers, email addresses, channel choices, consent records, and opt-out or suppression status are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS permission is limited to the Participating Business and program identified when you make the choice. It does not authorize Redlef, another Participating Business, an affiliate, or an unrelated company to market to you.
Email permission is also limited to the Participating Business and program identified when you make the email choice. Selecting SMS does not enroll you in email, and selecting email does not enroll you in SMS.
Redlef may provide mobile or email information, including consent or suppression status, to service providers only as needed to operate, secure, support, or deliver the applicable program or to comply with law. These providers may include hosting, database, communications-delivery, mailbox, carrier, security, fraud-prevention, logging, and professional-service providers. They are not permitted to use the information for their own unrelated marketing.
6. WHEN INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED
We may disclose information:
- To the Participating Business named on the signup page, offer, or message so it can manage the program, send the updates you selected, fulfill offers, and honor your requests.
- To service providers that support hosting, databases, message and email delivery, link routing, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, customer support, and professional services under appropriate restrictions.
- To wireless carriers, mailbox providers, domain operators, and network-protection partners as needed to route communications, investigate delivery issues, and protect recipients and systems.
- To authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, prevent fraud or harm, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse.
- In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of Redlef's business, subject to applicable law and customary safeguards. Such a transaction does not, by itself, expand the scope of your marketing consent.
- At your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information and do not disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. HOW LONG INFORMATION IS KEPT
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the Participating Business to operate the program, for Redlef to provide and secure the service, and for the purposes described in this Policy. The period depends on the type of record, whether a subscription remains active, backup cycles, fraud or dispute risk, provider requirements, and legal obligations.
Consent evidence and limited suppression records may be retained after you unsubscribe so the sender can demonstrate the choice that was made and avoid contacting the same destination again. Other records may be deleted, de-identified, archived, or placed beyond active use based on the Participating Business's instructions and Redlef's security, backup, dispute, and legal needs.
Expired short-link and offer records may be retained so an old link can display an expired or unavailable notice rather than being reassigned to a different business or campaign.
Aggregated or de-identified information may be kept where it cannot reasonably be linked to you.
9. SECURITY
Redlef uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures may include access restrictions, encryption in transit, encrypted or protected storage, tenant separation, audit and security logging, rate limits, fraud detection, backups, and controls intended to prevent unauthorized access or abusive submissions.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
You can help by submitting only contact information you control, not sharing offer or verification codes that should remain private, avoiding highly sensitive information in ordinary messages or forms, and reporting unexpected messages or suspected misuse.
10. YOUR COMMUNICATION CHOICES
You may unsubscribe from marketing texts or emails at any time.
- To stop marketing texts from a sender, reply STOP or use another reasonable method that clearly communicates your request.
- To stop marketing email, use the unsubscribe method in the email.
Choosing or stopping one channel does not automatically change the other channel. After an opt-out or unsubscribe, a limited suppression record may be retained so marketing does not restart at the same destination.
A Participating Business may still send a narrowly defined transactional, safety, account, or legally required communication when it has an independent lawful basis to do so. Those messages may not be used to evade a marketing opt-out.
11. PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of certain information.
- Request a portable copy of certain information.
- Learn more about categories of information collected, used, or disclosed.
- Appeal certain request decisions.
- Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
Redlef does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. If a future practice creates an applicable opt-out or limitation right, Redlef will provide an appropriate method before that practice begins.
12. HOW TO MAKE A PRIVACY REQUEST
For information submitted through a Participating Business's signup page, offer, or message, begin with the Participating Business named on that page or communication. Use its official website or the contact information included in its messages. The Participating Business controls the subscriber relationship and may send Redlef verified instructions under its service agreement to search, correct, export, or delete information held on its behalf.
You may also contact Redlef at:
Privacy: privacy@redlefsoftware.com Security or abuse: abuse@redlefsoftware.com General support: support@redlefsoftware.com
Describe the request, the Participating Business, and the relevant channel. The Participating Business or Redlef may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority, and the scope of the request. Some information may be retained when required to honor an opt-out, prevent fraud, maintain security, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
13. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Redlef-powered signup services are not directed to children under 13, and Redlef does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Marketing-program enrollment is intended for people who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority where they live. If you believe a child submitted information, contact the Participating Business through its official website or email privacy@redlefsoftware.com.
14. UNITED STATES OPERATIONS
Redlef is based in the United States. Information handled through Redlef-powered features may be processed and stored in the United States and in other locations where Redlef's service providers operate, subject to the protections described in this Policy and applicable law.
15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Redlef may update this Policy as the service, privacy practices, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted at the canonical URL above with a revised effective date and version number. Changes apply prospectively. Additional notice or a new affirmative choice will be provided before a material change is applied to previously collected information when required by law.
